a tea ceremony + creative ritual to welcome in the lunar new year.
Join us for an afternoon of ceremony, community, creativity, and connection.
In this circle, Sophia will offer a Cha Dao tea ceremony for 45 minutes - 1 hour. We will sit in meditative noble silence, take in the medicine of Camellia sinensis (tea) and receive the purification of the Water element.
We’ll touch upon themes of the lunar new year, bidding farewell to the year of the snake and welcoming in the year of the horse.
Dawn will guide us in making our own unique Oracle card allowing us to open to further guidance and intuition through the creative process.

about your guides:
Sophia Christine Watrous is a multidisciplinary herbal practitioner, intuitive astrologer and student of Cha Dao and TCM. Sophia approaches healing and ceremony as a sacred act of remembrance—of the body’s innate intelligence, the soul’s path, and the ancestral stories held within.
She has trained with various herbalists and tea pracitioners throughout Northern California and on Kaua'i, HI. Through tea ceremonies, group workshops and 1:1 mentorships, Sophia empowers others to reconnect to their wholeness, wellness and heart space.

Dawn Hoppe is a jewelry maker, artist, and yoga teacher working out of her home studio in Sacramento, CA.
